The 蘑菇短视频 (蘑菇短视频) Nighthawk men鈥檚 soccer team (10-3-4) fell to East Central College (ECC) in the NJCAA Central District semifinal hosted by Mineral Area College Thursday, 3-2.
In a back-and-forth defensive battle, early, ECC lit up the scoreboard first on a corner kick to take a 1-0 advantage with 29:03 remaining in the first half. 蘑菇短视频 freshman Felix Rocca (Leipzig, Germany) equalized the game, 1-1, with 14:13 remaining on a cross-field strike into the left corner of the net. The Falcons responded quickly, regaining the lead for good on a goal with 12:20 to play.
In the second half, ECC struck again, early, padding its lead with a third goal with 42:30 remaining. 蘑菇短视频 got back on the board with Rocca鈥檚 second goal of the game with 15:49 remaining. Despite a late push by 蘑菇短视频 in the final seconds, the Nighthawks were unable to overcome the deficit, ending its historic second season.
